TRON: Ares Tops Blu-ray Sales Charts! Full Breakdown of January's Top Sellers (2026)

Blu-ray Sales Insights: January 4-10 – TRON: Ares Dominates the Charts

In an exciting turn of events for home entertainment, the week ending January 10 saw Walt Disney Home Entertainment's TRON: Ares making a significant impact on Blu-ray sales. In its inaugural week, this much-anticipated film not only led the Blu-ray-only charts but also secured the top positions in both overall packaged media and UHD Sellers charts. As the long-awaited sequel to the equally delayed TRON: Legacy, TRON: Ares had its theatrical release in October 2025. Despite receiving mixed reviews and facing some challenges at the box office—amassing approximately $73 million domestically and $142 million globally against a production budget estimated between $180-$220 million—the film’s performance in home video sales has kicked off positively. Remarkably, TRON: Ares boasted a substantial HD market share of 78% this week, with an impressive 54% of sales coming from the 4K UHD format, making it not just the highest-selling title overall but also the leading 4K UHD release.

Following closely in second place across all three sales categories is Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's Superman, which made its debut in theaters in July 2025. This latest adaptation of the iconic DC Comics superhero achieved remarkable box office success, grossing over $125 million during its opening weekend alone and ultimately raking in more than $354 million in the domestic market and over $616 million worldwide. In terms of Blu-ray sales, Superman managed to secure 22% of the units sold compared to TRON: Ares, showcasing a strong HD share of 88%, with 76% of its sales coming from the 4K UHD version.

In third place, Lionsgate Home Entertainment’s Dogma captured attention as Kevin Smith's cult classic from 1999 made a comeback. Originally released on Blu-ray by Sony in 2008, Dogma fell out of print for a while before being "resurrected" with a stunning 4K remaster and re-released by Lionsgate. This new edition features a Dolby Atmos audio track, Dolby Vision HDR, and a mix of new and classic bonus content. This week, Dogma achieved 18% of the Blu-ray sales relative to TRON: Ares, showcasing a flawless HD share of 100%, with all units sold being from the 4K UHD version.

Arrow Video's Under Siege (1992) took the fourth spot on both the Blu-ray-only and UHD Sellers charts. Previously available on Blu-ray from Warner in 2006, this remastered edition from Arrow is derived from a newly approved 4K master by director Andrew Davis. It offers viewers a choice between a new Dolby Atmos remix or LPCM 2.0 audio, enhanced with Dolby Vision HDR for the 4K UHD edition, alongside exclusive extras such as commentary and interviews with key personnel. This title sold 15% of the Blu-ray units that TRON: Ares did, maintaining an exceptional HD share of 100% and nearly all units (99.93%) sold in the 4K UHD format.

Additionally, Shout Factory’s Bullet in the Head, which saw its Blu-ray and 4K UHD release this week, made its mark by landing in the 11th position on the Blu-ray-only chart.
